Review:

Nanami is almost at graduation, and it's drawing close to time for them to become fully human. She's finishing up some things, and we get to see some old friends again. Ami and Kurama have had a flirtation going for a while, but haven't done anything about it, and it's very obvious Kurama is trying to avoid it. It's nice to see this at least be hinted at a conclusion for them, because I do actually quite like them as a couple.

We also get a concluding wedding. Nanami tries not to push it on Tomoe, because she doesn't think he wants it, but it ends up being super cute. While I don't normally care for wedding endings, I think it fits for this series, and that it is done really well here. Given that Tomoe is giving up being a yokai for Nanami, I don't think marriage is too far out of reality for them.

While the romance is in a nice place, it's still a sad ending, because they have to say goodbye to everyone. I won't spoil the ending, but I really liked how it ended, it was sweet. I got the limited edition one, so the extra story and artbook were very pretty.

This was a really fun series, and I am really happy with the ending. I hope that more of her stuff gets picked up over here.

Review:

We finally get the conclusion of the Akura-oh plot line. It's rather bittersweet, in the end.

After that, the group has to go back to normal life. We get a chapter featuring Mizuki, because he's upset about what's happening with Nanami. Now that Nanami and Tomoe are back home, they get to see the realities of what will happen if Tomoe goes through with becoming a human—which he's made up his mind about.

They decide to take some time and prepare, and I'm intrigued to see what they will look like at the end of it. Part of it is sad, but it does make sense for them. Nanami gets really stressed out about preparing, because she believes they're going to need a lot. It makes sense, but I think that Tomoe should have been doing more. Which makes it even better when he takes over and does what he thinks is right.

This series is great; it falls in the background for me a lot, but it's always a fun read. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends.

Review:

We're getting close to the end of the series, and you can tell. There's only so long that they can prolong Tomoe's staying in fox form.

The group is still in the land of the dead, and they meet a little girl who's searching for something. Tomoe and Nanami and the others go after Akura-oh, with plans to stop him from reaching his body and saving Kirihito, the body he's in now. Akura-oh finally realizes what his minion has been up to all along, and Akura-oh finally realizes that he's changed along the way. There is a surprising twist here, an ending that I didn't quite expect for the character. The cliffhanger that it leads to is also rather unsettling and problematic. We'll see where that goes next.

This is a rather good series. I'm sad for one plot, but glad that Nanami is doing better. Tomoe's plot also took a good step forward, and I really do love him. Looking forward to the next one, as always.

She slams the gates and shrouds the land in darkness. How will they be able to find Kirihito now, much less the way out?!

Review:

Nanami is on a mission to save Tomoe, in any way that she can, and she refuses to stay behind when she could possibly be helpful. This leads her to meeting a new ayakashi, and to Tomoe running into Akura-oh.

Thankfully, though, she finds some good information out. And this leads Tomoe to finding out what Nanami is hiding from him, that she might be dying soon, and there is a well-deserving confrontation between them. Nanami needed to be yelled at a little, and this also draws them closer which they needed.

This series is always fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it wraps up, since there’s only a few volumes left.

Review:

Nanami is trying to help Tomoe, only instead she’s not really helping at all. Instead of letting him do what he needs, she goes out of her way to follow and do what she thinks is helping. It only causes more problems, I think.

Nanami runs into Akura-oh’s minion, who I do not like at all. Though this does lead Nanami to finding out how little life she has left, which is a bad discovery. We also get to see the tengu village, and I do quite like Jiro. It’s sad he loves Nanami, but I do like him. He’s a good guy.

There’s a cliffhanger similar to the last few, so not much has been resolved and more issues have shown up. It should be interesting to see how these are handled. I would like to get to see more scenes between Tomoe and Nanami, cause the glimpses and their declarations to other people just makes me want to see them more.

Review:

I’m so happy that Tomoe and Nanami are a couple now. They’re not super lovey-dovey, but they’re cute together. And I like seeing Tomoe being possessive of her, protective, but with a purpose now. They just make me happy.

The first part of this volume, we get to see the group relaxed, back at school and home. Studying to pass a test in order to go on a school trip. And then they go on the school trip, and some problems happen. Kirihito shows back up, and he needs Nanami’s energy in order to survive. I don’t like the way he gets it from her, and the problems that causes for Tomoe. Then, because of him, Nanami’s human friend gets captured. I like the development this gives to Nanami’s human life, and that she has such a good friend she’d sacrifice for.

I don’t like Kirihito at all, though, which makes me happy about the cliffhanger. Tomoe is gonna take care of business, ya’ll. I’m looking forward to that.

A solid volume. I’m so excited with where this series is going, and it’s always a delight to have a new volume.

Review:

The ongoing plot line finally comes to a close in this volume, and in the best way possible.

I won’t spoil what happens, but what we’ve always wanted finally happens between Nanami and Tomoe. I wasn’t expecting it, honestly, but it’s so sweet. Aww!

We also got the conclusion to Yukiji, officially. We got to see what happens to her with Tomoe, and what happens to her after. It’s sad, but in the end she got a relatively happy ending, and I’m happy for her. We also learned something interesting about Nanami’s heritage that makes sense, but that I didn’t really expect. (Also, something that could cause a problem later, unless I read it wrong? Since no one else seems to be reacting to it?)

Having such a long plot was fun and exciting, though the cliffhangers were mean. I’m looking forward to getting back to normal, if things do; having a little reprieve from all the serious. I’m also extremely excited to see more of the development between Nanami and Tomoe. That should be fun.
