Review:

After Guren's betrayal, most of them seem to realize that he's been keeping secrets, but he must have a good reason for them. Yuichiro is determined to hear him out, which is good. His grand plan is surprising, and seems like a bit of a stretch.

Meanwhile, Kureto is similarly trying to fight the family supposedly controlling everything, and he appears to be possessed.

They're boiling up to a big fight, it looks like. I'm not sure who it's going to end up being against, though.

Review:

The main group arrives at the mansion, and get some interesting information regarding vampires. They discuss things, figure out what their goal is.

I think part of the more interesting plot of the volume, though, is when we discover what happened to Guren to lead to now, what he did and why (at least partly), and what's still haunting him. It's an interesting idea.

I'm still a little unsure how they expect to pull off what they want, but I guess they have it all figured out? I'm also unsure who's on which side at this point.

Review:

The volume starts, and the main group has been kidnapped. They're being brought to someone else, and they're not sure why. When they get there, it's clear that something else is going on. Something deeper, more sinister.

Since I haven't been following this series, I'm not really sure who anyone is, or why they're doing what they're doing. I am intrigued by Yoichi and his inner demon. He's waiting for the right moment to get his revenge, and that's not going to be good.

There'll be more messes in the next one, I'm sure.

When Yuichiro finally wakes up, he learns that Mika is dying from lack of human blood. Yuichiro offers Mika the choice to drink his blood and become a full vampire, but Mika has something very important to tell Yuichiro about the Seraph of the End project that could change his life.

Review:

I’m very intrigued by this series. I haven’t read any of the previous books, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. Firstly, the artwork is very pretty. The storyline and characters in this volume were good. It reminds me a little of 07-Ghost, but less complicated I think.

Given that I know nothing about any of these characters, I found the relationship between the two main characters in this one interesting. They’re friends that have been separated, and now one of them is trying to resist being a vampire. I liked seeing how they pushed each other, and how strong their bond was even after so long apart. The humor mixed in was also well-placed, I thought.

This was a pretty easy, fun volume to read. It does make me want to read the rest of it.
