Why?:

Mikasa has always been one of my favorites in this series, so of course I’m excited to read the manga focusing on her, and the other girls. We haven’t gotten much of an idea on where Annie is from, and I’m interested to read more on that. This is definitely a spin-off I will be picking up.

There's also the novel, released on June 28 from Vertical, but I'm a little iffy on the novels. If i enjoy this enough and want more, I might pick it up, too, though.

(I think this is being released on July 12? It's possible it was pushed back to August 23, though. I'm getting mixed messages.)

Review:

In this volume, a new school year starts, and we meet new students. Megumi is still going along, now planning on transferring to a new country for a while to expand her modeling career. And then we meet two siblings, the girl who is a rising star model, getting at least as much as attention as Megumi. And her odd, quiet brother, who Mei keeps noticing.

There’s also a plot where Mei diets, and I just hate these plotlines. They’re unnecessary and, when she’s already stick-thin, gives a terrible example. They just annoy me like crazy, and it doesn't help when she’s already shown to enjoy food and eat a lot.

I’m still quite enjoying this series. They are so much fun. And since I’m behind, I’ve got a couple more volumes to binge, which is really the best way.
