Teaser Tuesday[29]: Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

-----------

So, what have you been up to? If you’re in school, how’s that going? I’m doing alright. School is not exciting, but I’m doin’ it, so whatever.
Haven’t been reading too much, even though I really want to. School has been keeping me much too busy. But I finished a book over the weekend. I’m also in the process (very slowly) of watching the Pride and Prejudice miniseries, and, I’m sorry, I’m not totally enjoying it. Only got through the first episode so far, but am hoping to finish it soon.
Anyway, here’s todays book:
Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Harper Teen
Publish Date: January 29th, 2013

Goodreads Syopsis:

Bonnie and Clyde meets IF I STAY in this addictively heart-wrenching story of two desperate teenagers on the run from their pasts.

They’re young. They’re in love. They’re on the run.

Zoe wants to save Will as much as Will wants to save Zoe. When Will turns eighteen, they decide to run away together. But they never expected their escape to be so fraught with danger....

When the whole world is after you, sometimes it seems like you can’t run fast enough.

Nobody But Us, told in alternating perspectives from Will and Zoe, is an unflinching novel, in turns heartbreaking and hopeful, about survival, choices, and love...and how having love doesn’t always mean that you get a happy ending. Described as “beautiful, heartbreaking, and exhilarating” by Kody Keplinger, author of The DUFF, Nobody But Us will prove irresistible to fans of Nina Lacour, Jenny Han, and Sara Zarr.

Excerpts:

“I’ve never been this close to somebody who loves me.” (ARC, pg. 145)

“’He thought you were your mom?’
‘Sometimes.’
‘But he never…’
‘No.’” (ARC, pg. 145)

So, what are you reading right now?
