Goodreads Synopsis:

Takeo Goda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don’t want him! (They want his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn!

Now that they’ve been dating for just over six months, Takeo and Yamato finally have their first kiss! Meanwhile, Takeo’s mom goes into labor, and something happens that makes her realize how much Takeo’s grown… There’s also a hint that love might be in Sunakawa’s future…!

Review:

In the midst of Takeo freaking out over his kiss with Yamato, his mother is getting farther along in her pregnancy. And when Takeo’s mother starts getting bigger and continues doing everything around the house, he freaks out about that. And when she starts having contractions, he really freaks out. Suna ends up taking control, calmly telling Takeo what to do.
It’s all very sweet, really. And when she finally has the baby, she’s adorable and Takeo is the best big brother.
I do have to say, though, that I felt it a little weird that his mother was at the hospital alone? Takeo and Suna and Yamato and Takeo’s father check on her several times, but they’re not there constantly, and Takeo’s father goes to work at some point. They are at the hospital, in the waiting room, when she has the baby, though.
Then it’s Valentine’s Day. A group of them go out together, and Takeo has expectations for chocolate, excited and trying to love whatever Yamato gives him, and it’s all adorable. Takeo’s expressions during these chapters in particular are hilarious and adorable. Then we’re left off with the possibility of a new girl in love with Suna.
This series is adorable and hilarious and I love it. I can’t wait for the next one.
