Review:
We’re back to some
normal antics in the first half of this volume. The three are getting settled
again, still recovering from the previous fight. Yato drags them to the
amusement park, and his enthusiasm is contagious to everyone but Hiyori—because
it just reminds her of her last time there, when she was forgetting about them.
It’s both funny and heartbreaking, but the end scene makes it all worth it.
I thought we would
see more from Yato’s father, and we do get some development there. We officially
find out who he is, and some of what he has planned for Yato and Hiyori, and
I’m really not a big fan of him at this point. I don’t like his thoughts, but I
do suspect that we’ll be seeing more of his side soon.
In the second half,
surprisingly enough, we get a backstory on Kafuku and Daikoku. I’ve always been
a fan of this couple, and it’s nice to finally understand what brought them to
this point. To see that they really do love each other, but what broke them in
the past. Ugh, it’s really hard to see what they went through. But it just
makes me want them to be really happy.
Then the volume
closes with a sweet, sad story regarding Mayu’s past, which precludes to a
secret soon to be revealed, I’m sure.
I can’t wait for
the next one. I am just loving this series.
