Goodreads Synopsis:
Atsuko's father is a

the streets in a dark fog of despair, Atsuko cons perverts out of their
money to survive. Then, one day, she meets Itaru, the heir to a wealthy
family, who happens to look exactly like her. Itaru hatches a plan:
Atsuko will live his tedious public life for him, and she will get a
taste of the luxuries enjoyed by the 1%. Everybody's (finally) happy.
Right?
Why?:
This sounds very intriguing to me. And I
believe it’s shojo, but it also seems a little dark, maybe? The artwork looks a
little odd to me, so I’m mostly wary about that. But this series has caught my
eye and I’m hoping I’ll like it.
Special
Mentions:
Happiness
1 by Shuzo Oshimi out on Sept. 27—I’m
mostly intrigued by the hype there is for this series. It doesn’t particularly
sound like my kind of book, but the cover keeps catching my eye.
Welcome to the Ballroom
1 by Tomo Takeuchi out on Sept. 27—This seems
like another shojo series, maybe? And while I’m usually a fan of books with
dancing, I’m a little wary of this one. The artwork looks odd. Maybe good,
though.
What’s on your list?
