Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish
meme, hosted by MizB of Should
Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

-----------
This is going up a bit late (although it’s still
Tuesday!), so sorry about that. But, um… yea, just sorry.
I have been reading some stuff this past week, a little
slowly, but still getting there. Kind of in between books while in at least two
books at the same time. It’s complicated (or not) and a bit frustrating.
Here’s what I’m reading right now:
Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer
Genre: YA Supernatural/Paranormal Romance
Publisher: Penguin (Philomel)
Goodreads Synopsis:
Calla Tor has always
known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be
the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by
side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But
when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out
for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the
very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she
might lose everything- including her own life. Is forbidden love worth
the ultimate sacrifice?
Excerpt:
“’Don’t trouble
yourself on my account.’ When I’d cleared the bed, Ren stretched out on it,
pulling over a couple of pillows so he was propped up.
He crooked his
finger at me. ‘Come here.’
My heart stuck in
my throat.
‘I won’t bite,
Lily.’ He flashed his teeth.” (Hardback, pg. 196)
Sounds interesting, right? So, what are you reading
right now?
