Goodreads Synopsis:
From the remarkable
imagination of acclaimed artist Jim Di Bartolo and the exquisite pen of
bestselling author Kiersten White comes a spellbinding story of love,
mystery, and dark conspiracy, told in an alternating narrative of words
and pictures.
Cora and Minnie are sisters living in a small, stifling town where strange and mysterious things occur. Their mother runs the local boarding house. Their father is gone. The woman up the hill may or may not be a witch.
Thomas and Charles are brothers who’ve been exiled to the boarding house so Thomas can tame his ways and Charles can fight an illness that is killing him with increasing speed. Their family history is one of sorrow and guilt. They think they can escape from it . . . but they can’t.

Why?:
I am very intrigued by this book. For
one, I am a big fan of Kiersten White. I have loved all of her books thus far.
That in itself is a pull for me to buy this. The fact that part of the story is
told through drawings has me intrigued though. I don’t know exactly what that
will entail, if it’s graphic novel style or silent, or what. But I like
artwork. And I like White. So I will be picking this up. (Also, they have a signing near me a couple days before the release, so I will definitely be picking
it up then. It’s hard to say no to that.) (Also also, White seems to be popping up on my blog a lot lately... Not that that's a bad thing.)
What are you looking forward to?
